Job summary

The People Of: Professional Services seeks a Senior Labor & Employment Associate for its Newark, NJ office in the Labor, Employment & Workplace Safety practice. The role covers employment litigation, investigations, counselling and transactional matters.

Requirements: 4–6 years in labor and employment, advising and litigating matters, investigations, and drafting policies; exposure to mergers and acquisitions; trial experience is a plus; strong academics and communication.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of labor and employment experience.
• Experience advising and litigating employment matters.
• Experience conducting workplace investigations.
• Strong drafting of policies and related documents.
• Exposure to mergers and acquisitions in employment context.
• Trial experience is a plus; strong academics required.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on broad employment and labor law matters.
• Handle employment litigation and workplace disputes.
• Conduct and assist with internal workplace investigations.
• Draft and review employment policies, agreements and related documents.
• Advise employers on day-to-day workplace compliance.
• Support employment aspects of corporate transactions, including M&A.
• Conduct legal research and draft substantive documents.
• Work directly with clients on sophisticated employment matters.
• Collaborate with attorneys across the Labor, Employment & Workplace Safety practice.
