On Call Counsel in New Jersey seeks an experienced Labor and Employment Law Attorney for a hybrid, full-time role. The attorney will manage an employment-focused civil litigation portfolio, appear in courts and agencies, conduct depositions, draft motions, and advise clients on compliance and risk mitigation.

Requirements include a J.D. from an accredited school, active New Jersey bar admission, and 5–7 years of civil litigation with a focus on employment law. New York dual licensure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active, good-standing license to practice law in New Jersey.
• 5–7 years of general civil litigation experience with emphasis on employment law.
• Proven ability to handle depositions, oral arguments, and trial preparation independently.

Responsibilities

• Caseload management of a diverse litigation portfolio focused on employment matters.
• Represent clients in federal and state courts, agencies, arbitrations, and mediations.
• Conduct and defend complex depositions; drafting targeted discovery plans.
• Perform legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and appellate briefs.
• Formulate litigation strategies and advise clients on compliance and risk mitigation.
• Value claims and develop settlement strategies for optimal resolutions.
