Job summary

Jobot is recruiting a Labor & Employment Attorney for its New Jersey office in Cherry Hill. The attorney will handle a range of employment-related matters, including litigation, counseling, and compliance, and must be admitted to the New Jersey Bar (Pennsylvania bar a plus).

With 2+ years of experience, you will represent employers in disputes, draft pleadings, advise on policies, and contribute to internal investigations.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active admission to the New Jersey Bar is required.
• Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and employment law.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Experience with employment litigation and/or counseling.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and client communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Represent employers in labor and employment litigation, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, and wrongful termination claims
• Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on employment law issues
• Advise clients on employment-related compliance, policies, and best practices
• Assist with internal investigations and risk assessments
• Draft, review, and negotiate employment agreements, separation agreements, and workplace policies
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and court appearances
• Stay current on developments in federal, New Jersey, and (if applicable) Pennsylvania employment laws
