Talentburst,-Inc. is seeking a Lab Tech Sr in Redwood City, CA for a 12+ month contract. The role involves preparing samples for analysis, data entry, and accessioning with training provided. Expected tasks include handling specimens, using LIMS, and ensuring compliance with ISO 15189 and GDP procedures.

The position supports a fast-paced lab environment, requires attention to detail, and offers the opportunity to contribute to process improvements while maintaining high quality standards.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills including email usage.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsabilidades

• Perform laboratory tasks, as assigned.
• Receive, sort, and unpack incoming samples regularly.
• Log and track incoming samples using specified software regularly.
• Perform administrative duties required for incoming samples; including, but not limited to, scan needed paperwork, such as pathology reports and requisitions, and file physical paperwork per required procedures.
• Perform order entry and order processing such as in lieu of; including, but not limited to reviewing patient demographics and sample collection.
• Evaluate insurance and verify billing information.
• Transcribe relevant medical information from pathology reports or other associated documents such as sample IDs, number or malignant cores, and tumor size.
• Perform sample accessioning; including, but not limited to, verification of patient demographics, sample ID, and sample labeling.
• Utilize Laboratory Information System (LIMS), to review, enter sample information, and print required work lists.
• Perform and record equipment maintenance.
• Follow established health and safety procedures and adhere to risk assessments.
• Comply with ISO 15189 and QMS.
• Record data adhering to GDP, strictly follow procedures and raise quality events, when necessary.
• Maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) under guided direction of leadership.
• Participate in process improvement activities planned by management and/or engineers.
• Contribute to overall team goals while still maintaining individual output.
• Foresee issues and overcome obstacles to completing tasks or assignments.
• Perform all assigned tasks under the supervision of designee.
• Perform timely and accurate data entry and verification of incoming orders and samples according to SOP.
• Assist management in triaging workflow issues. Integrate and apply feedback in a professional manner.
• Ability to prioritize and drive to results with a high emphasis on quality.

• Ability to work seated for approximately 75% of a typical workday. Ability to work standing for approximately 25% of a typical workday.
• Ability to lift to 10 pounds for approximately 10% of a typical workday.
• Ability to grasp with both hands; pinch with thumb and forefinger; turn with hand/arm; reach above shoulder height.
• Ability to comply with any applicable personal protective equipment requirements.
• Ability to use various types of laboratory equipment; including microscopes, microtomes, blades, strainers, and pipettes for extended periods of time.
• May perform repetitious actions using office or lab tools.
• Ability to use near vision to view samples at close range.
• May be exposed to hazardous materials, tissue specimens, and instruments with moving parts, lasers, heating and freezing elements, and high-speed centrifugation.
• Ability and means to travel between Redwood City locations.
