Job summary

University of Southern California Arcadia Hospital is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to assist the Clinical Laboratory Scientist in collecting, processing, and distributing blood specimens for testing. You will train new staff and help manage the Lab Tech schedule, ensuring accurate test results and timely processing.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, California CPT I/II phlebotomy certification, BLS, and 3 years in a clinical lab preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree preferred.
• California Phlebotomy CPT I or II certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Three years’ experience in a clinical laboratory preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Clinical Laboratory Scientist in collecting, processing, and distributing blood specimens for testing.
• Trains new employees and manages the Lab Tech schedule.
• Orders and inventories phlebotomy and laboratory office supplies.
• Fulfills CLIA Moderate Complexity testing requirements.
• Ensures timely reporting of results and maintains Turn Around Time (TAT).
