Job summary

Keck Medicine of USC Arcadia Hospital is seeking a Lab Tech/Phlebotomy support role to assist the Clinical Laboratory Scientist in performing routine procedures, processing specimens, and maintaining supply inventories. The incumbent will train new staff and help manage the Lab Tech schedule in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, preferred an Associate degree in biological sciences or chemistry, and valid phlebotomy and BLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in biological sciences, chemistry or equivalent preferred.
• Aptitude for detailed technical procedures with high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Clinical Laboratory Scientist in technical and clerical tasks.
• Collect, process, and distribute blood specimens for testing.
• Order and inventory management of phlebotomy and laboratory supplies.
• Train new employees and manage Lab Tech scheduling.
• Ensure and maintain compliance with CLIA Moderate Complexity requirements.
• Support lab and hospital staff to ensure timely reporting of results.
