Job summary

JLL is seeking a Senior Project Manager for Lab Projects to lead laboratory construction and renovation efforts in Mountain View, CA. You will guide cross-functional teams, manage scope, budget, and schedules, and ensure high-quality lab facilities for clients.

The role requires extensive experience in lab design, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate with clients and vendors to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of project or construction management experience.
• 5+ years of MEP systems experience with preconstruction and construction management.
• Broad understanding of the construction industry.
• Extensive knowledge of laboratory design, operations, and equipment.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Proficiency with project management tools and software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage laboratory construction and renovation projects from initiation to closeout.
• Collaborate with clients, scientists, researchers, and stakeholders to assess laboratory requirements.
• Develop detailed project plans including scope, budget, schedules, and resources.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors to ensure successful delivery.
• Obtain necessary permits and approvals for lab projects.
• Manage budgets and monitor costs to stay within estimates.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and mitigate issues.
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety standards, and client requirements.
• Coordinate equipment procurement, installation, commissioning, and training.
