Job summary

JLL in Mountain View, CA is seeking a Lab Data Center Designer to conduct site audits of CBS spaces, equipment and infrastructure, and to support space governance and planning initiatives. You will collect layouts, finishes, dimensions, and photographs, updating REWS data and CAFM systems as needed.

You will collaborate with Lab Planning, Lab Managers and Engineering to ensure data accuracy, manage access, and produce post-audit documents and reports.

Qualifications

• At least 4-5 years of experience in design or auditing technical environments such as data centers, hospitals, or labs.
• Bachelor's degree in architecture, interior design or related discipline from an accredited institution.
• Experience with large-scale campus and portfolio-wide planning projects preferred.
• Experience with Google Workspace, AutoCAD, PlanGrid, CAFM, occupancy planning software, and space data management solutions.

Responsibilities

• Capture data such as equipment details, space plans, furniture, finishes, and photographs; store in labs databases.
• Collaborate with Lab Planning to identify lab compliance and space governance aspects.
• Maintain relationships with Lab OPS to understand audit priorities.
• Coordinate with Lab Managers, Lab Occupancy Planning, and Engineering on activities.
• Coordinate Lab audit approvals with Lab Managers/POCs; inform relevant stakeholders.
• Manage Lab access with Security to complete audits on schedule.
• Provide updates to ensure data accuracy for space, occupancy and allocation.
• Log activities in trackers and reporting tools.
• Assist in assessing lab infrastructure and related equipment knowledge.
• Maintain drawings and CAFM systems and generate space reports.
