Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Construction Superintendent for commercial projects with lab, clean room, and pharmaceutical environments. You will lead all on-site activities from mobilization through closeout, coordinating field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors to meet safety, schedule, and quality targets.

You will develop and maintain detailed project schedules, drive milestones, and ensure OSHA compliance while coordinating inspections and commissioning with engineers and trade partners.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial construction experience.
• Proven Construction Superintendent on commercial building projects.
• Hands-on experience in lab, clean room, pharma environments.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specs.
• Strong experience with project scheduling and look-ahead planning.
• Subcontractor management and coordination of multiple trades.
• OSHA 10 minimum; OSHA 30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations from mobilization to closeout.
• Serve as primary field leader for commercial projects with lab/pharma environments.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel for safe, efficient work.
• Develop and update overall project schedules and three-week look-ahead plans.
• Drive on-time milestones and project completion within schedule.
• Lead safety initiatives and ensure OSHA compliance on site.
• Implement QA/QC procedures to maintain high construction quality.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, and commissioning with inspectors and engineers.
• Ensure work complies with plans, specs, codes, and regulations.
• Manage site logistics, deliveries, access, and field organization.
• Conduct regular site meetings and review progress with stakeholders.
• Maintain daily reports, logs, RFIs, and field records.
• Support cost control efforts in the field and align with budget.
• Collaborate with PMs on scheduling, contracts, and change coordination.
• Assist closeout activities including punches and turnover.
• Utilize Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, and BIM to track field activities.
• Provide strong field leadership and set performance expectations.
