Job summary

Colwyn Group is seeking a Senior Manager, Lab Operations in Orlando, FL to lead day-to-day operations of a high-volume clinical laboratory, ensuring timely turnaround times and audit readiness. This onsite role oversees multiple testing sections, drives CAP/CLIA compliance, and develops frontline leadership to sustain service excellence and regulatory adherence.

The schedule is 4x10 Tue-Fri 9:00 AM–7:00 PM with a rotating Saturday every 12 weeks; base salary ranges from $100,000 to $150,000 plus

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive clinical laboratory leadership experience.
• Experience in high-volume, high-complexity core laboratory setting.
• Thorough practical understanding of CAP accreditation guidelines, CLIA compliance, and Florida regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day operations across high-complexity clinical testing areas to ensure timely turnaround times (TAT) and specimen integrity.
• Monitor operational KPIs, productivity benchmarks, and department budgets to optimize staffing ratios, instrumentation, and consumables.
• Implement and standardize laboratory standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety policies, and workflow methodologies.
• Partner with leadership to evaluate new testing platforms, oversee equipment validations, and execute process improvement initiatives.
