Responsibilities

• Liaises with staff regarding services required for installation, maintenance, moves, and relocations. Supports the proposed items of instrumentation.
• Acts as the first point of contact for all third-party contractors, ensuring that they have a valid EHS and GMP induction, a thorough risk assessment, and an official method statement and permit, prior to the commencement of work.
• Using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), administers the closure manage work orders in compliance with procedures and practices. Keeps end users apprised of work order status and acts as a lead for the timely escalation of service request(s). Ensures CMMS records are updated accurately and reflects the current status of the equipment.
• Performs daily equipment preparation and setup. Prepares quality control standards and performs checks on instruments, ensuring that equipment available for staff scientist.
• Replenishes solvents used in conjunction with laboratory equipment, as needed.
• Ensures purchase order(s) are in place in conjunction with prior commencement of non-contract work.
• Assists in audit preparation; retrieves documentation for inspection purposes.
• Prepares the mobile-phase solutions that are used in conjunction with experiments conducted on laboratory equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate work and assign tasks.
