Job summary

CBRE Laboratory Instrumentation Services (LIS) Technician role at a premier pharmaceutical client site. Calibrate, maintain, and repair scientific instrumentation while coordinating with customers and external contractors.

This full-time position emphasizes adherence to standardized procedures and CBRE RISE values. The role demands experience in lab equipment maintenance, a scientific degree or equivalent experience, and ability to manage inventories and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in laboratory equipment maintenance and repair.
• 4 year degree in a scientific discipline, or trade school diploma with 2-3 years of job-related experience.
• In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry loads of 50 lbs.
• Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
• Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
• Intermediate math skills.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, examine, clean, fix, calibrate, check, maintain special equipment, systems, and controls.
• Operate test equipment including multimeters, frequency generators, certified calibration weights, and digital logic probes.
• Coordinate removal of equipment for extensive repairs during scheduled maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems during unscheduled work.
• Record and report abnormal functions or out-of-tolerance conditions.
• Review and document daily records of inspections and maintenance activity.
• Coordinate with external contractors on repairs covered by maintenance agreements.
• Maintain parts inventories and estimate costs.
• Track instrument and part reliability and recommend alternatives.
• Oversee development of equipment maintenance and calibration procedures.
• Lead by example and model CBRE RISE values.
• Work within standardized procedures to meet deadlines.
• Exchange information clearly and confirm understanding.
