Job summary

Divergent is redefining aerospace and automotive manufacturing with additive production. We seek an experienced Senior Equipment Engineer-Electrical to own electrical systems for L-PBF equipment, troubleshoot power, controls, sensors, and interlocks, and drive reliability across a multi-factory fleet.

You will mentor technicians, define standards, and partner with Service, Operations, Quality, and Development Engineering to deliver safe, cost-effective manufacturing solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline.
• 6+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or advanced production environments.
• Experience owning sustaining performance of production equipment through launch or ramp.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting on production equipment with schematics reading.
• Ability to lead root cause investigations using structured methodologies (RCCA, 5 Whys, Fishbone).
• Ability to communicate across engineering, operations, quality, maintenance, and service teams.

Responsibilities

• Support Service and Operations, improving work instructions and enabling autonomy.
• Own equipment reliability, troubleshoot electrical issues, and drive corrective actions.
• Change and configuration management, documenting lessons learned for fleet-wide use.
• Mentor technicians and engineers; collaborate with Development Engineering on reliability.
