Job summary

Divergent is hiring a Senior Equipment Engineer-Electrical to lead electrical systems on production L-PBF equipment. You will own technical issues, set standards, and collaborate with Service, Operations, Quality, and Development Engineering.

Mentoring technicians and improving reliability across the fleet are key goals. You will work with data from machine sensors, drive improvements, and contribute to RCCA investigations while supporting cross-functional teams to deliver safe, high-quality

Qualifications

• Ability to lawfully access information and technology subject to US export controls.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
• 6+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, equipment engineering, reliability engineering, or advanced production environments.
• Experience owning sustaining performance of production equipment and supporting it through launch or ramp.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting on production equipment including reading schematics and one-line diagrams.
• Experience leading root cause investigations using structured methodologies (RCCA, 5 Whys, Fishbone) and validating corrective actions.
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills with large datasets.
• Ability to influence across engineering, operations, quality, maintenance, and service teams.

Responsibilities

• Own Equipment Reliability and resolve fleet problems across L-PBF equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues including power distribution, control circuits, sensors, wiring, drives, and safety interlocks.
• Mentor technicians and operators to move knowledge into the system.
• Initiate and complete RCCAs end to end with containment and corrective action.
• Engage with Development Engineering and prioritize fleet-wide reliability improvements.
• Drive cost reduction through equipment optimization.
• Document lessons learned for fleet-wide standardization.
