Job summary

Veeam Software is seeking a Senior Sales Systems Engineer (Kasten Specialist) to drive technical wins across enterprise accounts in US West and US Central. You will own the full pre-sales cycle from discovery to POC and close, partnering with the Kasten Sales Specialist.

The role requires 7+ years in pre-sales, 5+ years Kubernetes-based product experience (OpenShift/AWS EKS), and the ability to translate technical value into business outcomes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in pre-sales or solutions engineering for enterprise software.
• 5+ years hands-on Kubernetes-based product experience in production or evaluation environments, including Red Hat OpenShift, AWS EKS, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes data protection, backup and recovery strategies, and cloud-native storage architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead all pre-sales technical activities across assigned territories, including discovery, solution architecture, demonstrations, and POC execution.
• Deliver compelling technical presentations and product demonstrations to enterprise technical evaluators, architects, and senior leadership.
• Architect Kubernetes data protection solutions against customer requirements and enterprise security and compliance frameworks.
• Scope, manage, and drive POCs to technical closure on aggressive timelines.
• Translate customer business objectives into Kubernetes data protection requirements and solution designs.
• Support lead generation activities including industry events, webinars, and technical briefings.
• Collaborate with ecosystem partners to advance co-sell opportunities.
• Work with regional partners and system integrators to support partner-led evaluations.
• Provide structured product feedback to Product Management based on field experience.
