Job summary

Veeam is seeking a Senior Sales Systems Engineer (Kasten Specialist Solutions Engineer) to drive technical wins across US West and US Central. You will own the full pre-sales cycle from discovery to POC and close, partnering with the Sales Specialist.

The role requires 7+ years in pre-sales, strong Kubernetes experience (OpenShift/AWS EKS), and the ability to translate complex tech into business value. Travel up to 40%; PST location preferred.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of pre-sales or solutions engineering in enterprise software.
• Experience in North American enterprise markets.
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience in production or eval environments (OpenShift, EKS, or equivalent).
• Understanding of data protection, backup and recovery in cloud-native contexts.
• Familiarity with enterprise procurement and channel dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Lead all pre-sales technical activities across assigned territories, including discovery, architecture, demonstrations, and POC execution.
• Deliver compelling technical presentations and product demonstrations to enterprise evaluators, architects, and senior leadership.
• Architect Kasten solutions against customer requirements and security/compliance frameworks.
• Scope, manage, and drive POCs to technical closure on aggressive timelines.
• Translate customer objectives into Kubernetes data protection requirements and designs.
• Support lead generation activities including events, webinars, and briefings.
• Collaborate with ecosystem partners to advance co-sell opportunities.
• Travel up to 40% within US West/Central and occasional global travel.
