Job summary

Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, NE is seeking a Sr. Associate Patient Coordinator - Kidney Transplant to support scheduling, records management and referrals for transplant patients.

You will coordinate appointments, test scheduling and communications with patients and physician offices, ensuring timely, accurate patient charts and efficient workflows. Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare customer service environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of post-secondary education with coursework in business/medical assistant/nursing assistant or equivalent combination of education/experience in customer service or medical scheduling.
• Demonstrated verbal and written customer relations skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Analytical, prioritizing and organizational skills.
• Ability to provide a high level of customer service to physicians, patients and internal/external customers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate scheduling of patient appointments and tests.
• Obtain and manage patient records and referrals.
• Register and schedule patients in a customer-service oriented manner.
• Perform complex scheduling of multiple appointments and procedures.
• Provide clerical support for scheduling and coordination of services.
