Job summary

Bergmeyer is seeking a technically savvy Senior Job Captain for our Boston office to lead and coordinate complex construction documentation and detailing efforts. You will collaborate with consultants, vendors, and internal teams to deliver high-quality project packages in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a professional architecture degree, licensure or licensure track preferred, and 5–7 years of design office experience, including building envelope detailing.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture.
• Architecture Licensure or Licensure track preferred.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Construction Cloud, Enscape, Miro, and OneNote is a plus.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of recent design office experience, must include detailing new construction projects, including building envelope.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary day-to-day technical lead, coordinating with consultants, vendors, and internal teams.
• Support project managers in maintaining schedule, deliverables, and team alignment.
• Participation in the full design process from conceptual design through Construction Administration as a member of a project team.
• Experience with fast paced technical projects.
• Prepare design development and construction document packages with project team, consultants, contractors, and vendors.

• Ability to graphically communicate an idea quickly and effectively, backed by strong technical capabilities regarding building construction and technologies, millwork detailing and consultant coordination
• Act as primary day-to-day technical lead, coordinating with consultants, vendors, and internal teams
• Support project managers in maintaining schedule, deliverables, and team alignment
• Participation in the full design process from conceptual design through Construction Administration as a member of a project team
• Experience with fast paced technical projects
• Strong organizational skills
• Conduct site surveys, code analysis, and ensure compliance with accessibility and local jurisdictional requirements
• Prepare design development and construction document packages with project team, consultants, contractors, and vendors

Travel is required

• The base salary will be estimated to be between $72,000 - $86,000 contingent on relevant experience plus variable bonus and benefits.
