Job summary

Bergmeyer seeks a Senior Job Captain for its Boston office, bringing deep technical acumen and collaborative spirit. You will lead design development and Construction Administration on complex projects, coordinating with consultants and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture required; licensure preferred.
• 5–7 years of design office experience with detailing of new construction projects, including building envelope.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud, Enscape, Miro, and OneNote is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Graphically communicate ideas quickly with strong technical build knowledge.
• Act as primary day-to-day technical lead, coordinating with consultants, vendors, and internal teams.
• Support project managers in maintaining schedule, deliverables, and team alignment.
• Participate in full design process from concept through Construction Administration as a project team member.
• Demonstrate ability to handle fast-paced technical projects.
• Maintain strong organizational skills across activities.
• Conduct site surveys, code analysis, and ensure accessibility and local jurisdiction compliance.
• Prepare design development and construction document packages with the team, consultants, contractors, and vendors.

Qualifications:

• Professional degree in Architecture
• Architecture Licensure or Licensure track preferred
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
• Proficiency with Autodesk Construction Cloud, Enscape, Miro, and OneNote is a plus
• Minimum of 5-7 years of recent design office experience, must include detailing new construction projects, including building envelope

Essential Skills and Responsibilities:

• Ability to graphically communicate an idea quickly and effectively, backed by strong technical capabilities regarding building construction and technologies, millwork detailing and consultant coordination
• Act as primary day-to-day technical lead, coordinating with consultants, vendors, and internal teams

Travel is required

The base salary will be estimated to be between $72,000 - $86,000 contingent on relevant experience plus variable bonus and benefits.
