Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to lead the design, development and implementation of complex digital solutions. You will architect scalable software applications, drive testing strategies and mentor junior engineers within CVS Health Digital.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and shape the technical direction of digital engineering projects to deliver reliable, secure and high-performance software across platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience with backend focus.
• 3+ years of Java fundamentals and Spring Boot/spring ecosystem.
• 3+ years of GraphQL, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
• 3+ years of relational and NoSQL database design and optimization.
• 2+ years with SDLC, Git, branching strategies, and CI/CD pipelines.
• 2+ years of code reviews and testing strategy development.
• 2+ years of cloud-native development and deployment patterns.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and architecture of scalable digital solutions.
• Write production-grade code and implement core features.
• Drive architectural decisions for scalability, security and performance.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews.
• Champion CI/CD, testing and observability practices.
