Job summary

Machine Learning Technologies, LLC is seeking a seasoned Java Application Support Engineer to provide L2/L3 production support for enterprise Java applications. The role emphasizes monitoring health, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring high availability of critical systems.

You will collaborate with Development, Infrastructure, DBA, Cloud, and Business teams, perform root cause analysis, and support releases and change management in an ITIL-aligned environment.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in desktop/enterprise Java applications and APIs.
• Experience with ITIL incident, problem, and change management.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot production issues and perform RCA.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 production support for Java-based enterprise applications.
• Monitor performance, availability, and system health using observability tools.
• Investigate and resolve incidents within SLA timelines.
• Analyze logs, dumps, and metrics to diagnose issues.
• Lead RCA and preventive action implementations.
• Support deployments, environments, and post-release validation.
• Troubleshoot REST APIs, microservices, and batch processing failures.
• Execute SQL queries for data analysis and issue investigation.
• Collaborate with Development, Infra, DBA, Cloud, and Business teams.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
• Drive automation to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.
• Maintain runbooks and support documentation.
• Adhere to ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management.
