Job summary

GRVTY is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement complex Java-based software for computer-based systems. You will join a small, dynamic team and mentor others while delivering high-quality software solutions.

The role requires strong Java and Kubernetes experience, RESTful services, and the ability to work in a hybrid setup with 1–2 days in the San Antonio office per week. Candidates should be US citizens, with a security clearance desired.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 9 years in Software Engineering with Java frameworks or 7 years with a related Masters degree.
• Experience building and maintaining Kubernetes deployments (helm, flux).
• Experience with RESTful web services and microservices architecture.
• Proven ability to learn quickly, work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement complex Java-based software capabilities.
• Lead and mentor engineering teams in a fast-paced, hybrid environment.
• Contribute to agile software lifecycle and tooling (Git, Nexus, Maven).
• Work with Linux systems and DevOps tooling to deploy and operate microservices.
