Job summary

NinjaOne seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design and implement scalable IT Operations solutions. You will contribute to Java/Kotlin services, optimize database queries, and help drive reliability across millions of endpoints. You’ll mentor teammates, participate in code reviews, and document system architecture for scalable growth.

The role emphasizes hands-on coding, performance profiling, and collaboration with backend, infrastructure, and product teams in a cloud native AWS environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of Java software development experience for product applications.
• 6+ years designing and operating highly scalable software systems.
• Deep understanding of OOP, data structures, and high-performance design.
• Experience with RESTful services and API best practices.
• Relational database design and query optimization at scale.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and message brokers.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for deployment.
• Experience with Linux scripting and debugging distributed systems.
• Hands-on use of AI coding assistants is a plus.
