Job summary

Cognizant in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Java FSE Lead (Angular) to design, develop, and support cloud-native applications. You will work with architects, product owners, DevOps, and cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

The role demands 5+ years of enterprise Java and Spring Boot, Angular, microservices, Kafka, REST/GraphQL, IaC, CI/CD, and GitHub. Hybrid work requires 3 days in office per week; visa sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong full-stack development with Angular and modern web architectures.
• Experience designing and implementing microservices-based solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar event streaming technologies.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, GraphQL, and service integration patterns.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, and DevOps practices.
• Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL and MongoDB Atlas.
• Experience using AI-powered developer tools to enhance workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular.
• Build and support event-driven data processing with Kafka for scalable systems.
• Develop and deploy cloud-ready applications with IaC, CI/CD, and automation.
• Create and integrate REST APIs and GraphQL services for enterprise apps.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, and DevOps for delivery.
