Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Sr. Developer to design and deliver scalable cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, and GraphQL. You will work with architects, owners, DevOps, and stakeholders to build reliable, secure enterprise solutions while driving innovation with LLMs and GitHub Copilot.

The role emphasizes hands-on microservices development, secure APIs, CI/CD, observability, and deployment automation, with hybrid work requiring 3+ days per week in Hopkins, MN or Irving, TX.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of enterprise application development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
• Hands-on design and deployment of microservices-based apps.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Istio, API Gateway, and GraphQL.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) and NoSQL/PL-SQL.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable microservices and cloud-native apps using Java, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, and GraphQL.
• Build secure, high-performance APIs and integration services for enterprise capabilities.
• Leverage LLM concepts and GitHub Copilot to improve development efficiency.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, observability frameworks, and deployment automation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote cloud-native and AI-assisted development practices.
