Job summary

Cognizant is hiring a Lead Java Full Stack Engineer for a hybrid role in Irving, TX. You will lead development of Java/Spring Boot stories, build microservices, and work with CI/CD pipelines in a collaborative Agile environment.

The role requires 10+ years in full-stack Java, 5+ years APIs (GraphQL/REST), and cloud experience. Hybrid work includes 3 days/week onsite at Cognizant offices.

Qualifications

• Skilled Full stack Java Developer with 10+ years of experience using Java, Spring boot and SQL.
• At least 5 years of experience with API development using GraphQL or REST.
• Experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Cloud).
• Experience designing and implementing microservices end to end.
• Strong knowledge of containerized applications.
• Experience with DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git, Rancher).
• Experience with unit testing frameworks like Mockito or JUnit.
• Experience with integrations (Ping Federation & Apigee).
• Cloud experience with Azure.
• Experience with SQL Server and Cassandra or similar.
• UML diagrams with Visio or draw.io.
• Nice to have React UI experience.

Responsibilities

• Hands of development of Stories assigned using Java / Spring Boot
• Unit and integration testing using JUnit.
• Familiar DevOps tools and experience in CI/CD software.
• Experience in Agile methodology.
