Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Developer in Irving, TX to design and deliver scalable, cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, and GraphQL, while leveraging AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity.

You will work with architects, product owners, DevOps, and stakeholders to build secure, high-performing enterprise solutions, implement CI/CD, and promote best practices in cloud-native development.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of enterprise application development experience.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
• Hands-on design and deployment of microservices-based apps.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Istio, API Gateway, and GraphQL.
• Practical use of GitHub Copilot, prompt engineering, or LLM-based development concepts.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
• Strong NoSQL and PL/SQL knowledge.
• Frontend-backend integration with JavaScript.
• Understanding of software architecture, secure coding, and performance optimization.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable microservices and cloud-native apps using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Kubernetes, and GraphQL.
• Build secure, high-performance APIs and integration services for enterprise capabilities.
• Leverage LLM concepts and Copilot to improve development efficiency and quality.
