Job summary

Cognizant is hiring a Senior Java Full Stack Developer to design, develop, and deliver cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular. You will build RESTful services, microservices, and containerized solutions, collaborating with architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams.

The role supports hybrid work with up to 3 days onsite in Orlando, FL or Pittsburgh, PA or NY/NJ locations. A visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on Java development experience and OO design.
• Strong background in RESTful services and microservices with Spring Boot.
• Experience with Docker in cloud-native environments and messaging systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications.
• Build and support RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot.
• Develop and deploy containerized apps with Docker in cloud-native setups.
• Implement event-driven architectures using Kafka or MQ.
• Troubleshoot performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
