Job summary

Synechron seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer with a strong Java engineering background and hands-on experience leveraging Devin AI and AI-powered workflows. This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, customer success, solution architecture, and AI-driven development.

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will work directly with enterprise clients to understand business challenges, design scalable technical solutions, deploy AI-assisted applications, and accelerate software delivery

Qualifications

• 15+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong experience in Java Full Stack application development.
• Strong experience deploying and supporting cloud-based solutions.
• Experience working directly with enterprise customers in a client-facing role.
• Experience with Devin and Claude at the enablement/adoption level.
• Experience building high-value Devin playbooks for greenfield, brownfield and migration use cases.

Responsibilities

• Partner with client stakeholders to understand requirements and challenges.
• Design and implement client-specific solutions using Java-based technologies and AI-powered development tools.
• Translate business needs into scalable technical architectures and deployment strategies.
• Act as a trusted advisor, providing technical recommendations and solution roadmaps.
• Utilize Devin AI and other AI engineering agents to automate software development tasks.
• Fine-tune AI-assisted workflows for coding, debugging, testing, documentation, and deployment activities.
• Evaluate and optimize AI-generated code for scalability, maintainability, and security.
• Implement AI-driven engineering best practices across software delivery lifecycle.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to improve AI-assisted development capabilities.
• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications.
• Build RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot and related frameworks.
• Develop scalable backend systems integrating cloud-native architectures.
• Ensure high-performance, reliable, and secure application development.
• Lead customer implementations, proof-of-concepts, and production deployments.
• Configure and integrate client systems with AI-powered applications and platforms.
• Conduct technical workshops, demonstrations, and training sessions.
• Troubleshoot complex customer issues and provide technical guidance.
• Develop solution architectures across cloud and on-premises environments.
