Job summary

Synechron seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer with a strong Java engineering background and hands-on experience leveraging Devin AI and AI-powered workflows. This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, customer success, solution architecture, and AI-driven development.

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will work directly with enterprise clients to understand business challenges, design scalable technical solutions, deploy AI-assisted applications, and accelerate software delivery

Qualifications

• 15+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong experience in Java Full Stack application development.
• Strong experience deploying and supporting cloud-based solutions.
• Experience working directly with enterprise customers in a client-facing role.
• Experience with Devin and Claude at the enablement/adoption level.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) with a strong Java engineering background and hands‑on experience leveraging Devin AI and AI‑powered software development workflows. This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, customer success, solution architecture, and AI‑driven development.

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will work directly with enterprise clients to understand business challenges, design scalable technical solutions, deploy AI‑assisted applications, and accelerate software delivery through agentic AI frameworks such as Devin. You will act as a trusted technical advisor and bridge the gap between customer requirements and engineering execution.

The ideal candidate is an experienced Developer who can architect enterprise solutions, work closely with stakeholders, and utilize advanced AI coding agents to improve productivity, automate workflows, and deliver impactful business outcomes.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC/Irving, TX is $135k - $145k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

Client Engagement & Solution Development

• Partner directly with client stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams to understand business requirements and technical challenges.

• Implement AI‑driven engineering best practices across software delivery lifecycle.

Software Development
