Job summary

JPMorganChase in Jersey City seeks an experienced Software Engineer III to join the Asset & Wealth Management Technology group. You will contribute to secure, scalable Java-based microservices and collaborative architecture decisions across multiple business domains.

As part of an agile team, you will implement streaming, non-blocking patterns, and robust APIs while embracing secure coding and automated testing practices to deliver trusted technology solutions.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 3+ years of practical experience.
• Hands-on design, development, testing, and operational stability across SDLC.
• Proficiency in core Java, CI/CD pipelines, and production support.
• Experience with Kafka, Rabbit MQ, MSK, and related messaging/streaming tech.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with caching (Redis, GemFire, Ignite) and AWS services.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to design, build, and deploy applications aligned with requirements.
• Develop Java-based microservices with streaming, non-blocking, reactive paradigms.
• Work with Kafka, IBM MQ, Kubernetes, Redis, MSK, and AWS for scalable systems.
• Participate in architectural discussions and domain-driven design.
• Document services and APIs with logging, security, and monitoring in mind.
• Engage in code reviews, promote TDD/BDD, and ensure maintainability.
• Demonstrate scalability and resilience using tests and mock frameworks.
• Use AI coding tools within secure, peer-reviewed workflows.
