Job summary

JPMorganChase in Jersey City seeks a Software Engineer III to join the Whole Lending Technology team. You will design and deliver secure, scalable software as part of an agile team, supporting critical technology across business functions.

You will work with Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and microservices, write production-ready code, and leverage AI-assisted development tools to boost quality, speed, and security while maintaining reliability.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in system design, development, testing, and operations.
• Experience building in a large corporate environment with modern languages and databases.
• Design and development of microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and related tools.
• Experience in AWS (EKS or EC2) and RDBMS like Oracle or PostgreSQL.
• Experience using AI-assisted software development tools with validation for correctness, performance, and security.

Responsibilities

• Execute software solutions, design, development, and debugging with non-routine problem solving.
• Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms for reliable systems.
• Leverage AI coding tools to improve code quality, speed, and productivity with peer review and testing.
• Use SDLC tools including AI-assisted development and automation to enhance value.
• Produce architecture/design artifacts for complex applications and ensure constraints are met.
• Gather/analyze data to visualize and report for continuous improvement.
