Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Software Engineer III within Asset & Wealth Management in Jersey City, NJ. You will join an agile team to design and deliver trusted, secure, scalable technology products and support critical technology solutions across multiple business functions.

You will develop production code using Java, React, and SQL, build robust backend services with Spring, and apply CI/CD and secure coding practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of formal software engineering experience.
• Experience in system design, development, testing, and operations.
• Proficient in Java, React, and SQL.
• Skilled in SQL querying across relational databases.
• Experience building interactive front-end with React.
• Collaborates with portfolio managers to support investment workflows.
• Backend development with Spring Framework.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools and secure coding practices.
• Understanding of responsible AI usage and data sensitivity.
• Solid knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and agile practices.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting with the ability to tackle non-routine problems.
• Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run with supporting systems.
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensures design constraints are met.
• Gathers, analyzes, and visualizes data to enable continuous improvement of software applications.
• Identifies hidden data patterns to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture.
• Contributes to engineering communities and explores new technologies.
