Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer to join the Cyber & Analytics Business Area on a mission-critical enterprise application. You will build Spring Boot services, RESTful APIs, and containerized deployments, while modernizing the platform for high-performance data processing.

Ideal candidates have 12+ years of software engineering, strong Java/Spring Boot experience, database expertise, and active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance to support national security missions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 12+ years of software engineering experience on complex programs.
• Experience developing Java enterprise applications with Spring Boot.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and relational databases (MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
• Experience with container technologies (Docker/Podman) and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Agile development, Git-based workflows, CI/CD, and automated testing.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise Java applications using Spring Boot.
• Develop scalable RESTful APIs and backend services for mission-critical systems.
• Design and optimize relational databases (MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
• Support modernization via containers, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation.
• Participate in design sessions, code reviews, and Agile practices.
• Develop automated tests and GitLab CI/CD pipelines to improve quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Jira and Confluence.
