Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer to join the Intelligence Sector's Cyber & Analytics Business Area. You will build Spring Boot services, RESTful APIs, and contribute to a high-performance Java platform transitioning to a containerized architecture.

You will work in an Agile team, deploying to Kubernetes, supporting CI/CD and relational databases like MariaDB and PostgreSQL. A TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; with 4 years additional software eng. exp. for those without a degree.
• At least 12 years of software engineering experience on programs of similar scope.
• Experience developing Java enterprise apps using Spring Boot.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and relational databases (MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
• Experience with container tech (Docker/Podman) and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Agile dev using Git-based source control, CI/CD, and automated testing.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise Java apps with Spring Boot.
• Develop scalable RESTful APIs and backend services for mission-critical apps.
• Design, optimize, and troubleshoot relational databases (MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle/PostgreSQL).
• Support modernization via containerization, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
• Participate in design sessions, code reviews, and Agile practices.
• Develop automated testing and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with Jira and Confluence within cross-functional teams.
