Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to modernize an enterprise Java application using Spring Boot, Angular, Docker, and Kubernetes. You will design RESTful APIs, integrate with Oracle/PostgreSQL, and implement DevSecOps practices within an Agile team.

The role requires a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and a strong track record in enterprise software development. A $25,000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Minimum of 14 years of software engineering experience on programs/contracts of similar scope
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance

Responsibilities

• Analyze user and system requirements to design, develop, test, and maintain Java and Angular applications
• Design, develop, and support RESTful APIs, service integrations, and data access for Oracle, PostgreSQL, and other relational databases
• Support application modernization initiatives, including Spring Boot migration, database modernization, microservices, and containerization
• Deploy and support containerized applications in Kubernetes environments across cloud and on-premises infrastructure
• Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, troubleshooting, technical design, and continuous process improvement
• Develop automated unit and integration tests, support CI/CD pipelines, and maintain technical documentation using Confluence and Jira
• Provide backup database administration support for Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MariaDB while cross-training across technologies
