Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Software Engineer to join an Agile team modernizing a mission-critical enterprise Java application using Spring Boot, Angular, Docker, and Kubernetes. You will design, develop, and maintain APIs and data access layers for Oracle and PostgreSQL, participate in architecture reviews, and support CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience on programs of similar scope and complexity.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user and system requirements to design, develop, test, and maintain Java and Angular applications.
• Design, develop, and support RESTful APIs and data access components for relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• Support application modernization initiatives including Spring Boot migrations and microservices.
• Deploy and support containerized applications in Kubernetes across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and continuous process improvement.
• Develop automated tests, support CI/CD pipelines, and maintain documentation in Confluence and Jira.
• Provide backup database administration support for Oracle and PostgreSQL.
