Job summary

NinjaOne, a leading Unified IT Operations Platform, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Java. You will design and implement scalable software powering millions of endpoints in a cloud-native AWS environment.

You will join a team of engineers delivering mission-critical services, shaping architecture, and mentoring peers. The role supports flexible remote work within the USA and offers hybrid options at our Austin, TX or Tampa, FL offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of Java software development experience for product applications.
• 5+ years of experience with highly scalable systems.
• Proven experience in scaling systems and solving complex system design challenges.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP) design principles and practices.
• Expertise in API design and RESTful services with Jersey or Spring.
• Proficient in relational database design and development.
• Experience with caching systems, particularly Redis, is a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of quality testing practices and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of large-scale software applications with a focus on quality and reliability.
• Influence architectural decisions to ensure scalability and maintainability.
• Mentor junior engineers and set technical standards across projects.
• Own technical initiatives and drive improvements based on data from support teams.
• Advocate for and implement quality assurance practices for robust software.
