Job summary

Global Payments is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help power our VAP Global Ecommerce platform. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable Java applications, move toward microservices, and collaborate across Product, Platform, and Merchant Services.

You'll lead development efforts for high-volume payment processing, participate in Agile practices, and mentor teammates while delivering reliable APIs and data services in a hybrid Atlanta office.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Java software engineering experience.
• Strong SQL and database design skills.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Ability to translate business goals into technical solutions.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test software for high-volume, high-availability platform.
• Collaborate with Product, Platform, Merchant Services and Support to translate requirements into solutions.
• Apply Agile techniques such as pair programming and TDD to maximize productivity and quality.
• Deploy new features into production with zero downtime and no impact to end users.
• Build domain expertise in e-commerce payments and develop new product features.
• Work in a team-focused culture with strong collaboration and communication.
