Global Payments is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Worldwide Payments Gateway team. You will contribute code, provide technical leadership, and help the team deliver high-quality software that powers global commerce.

You will work with the Development Manager to refine requirements, implement solutions, and promote best practices such as SOLID principles, REST API design, and TDD. A collaborative, proactive mindset is essential in this role.

Qualificações

• Degree-level education in computing, math or related subjects.
• Proven experience delivering software to schedule and to specification.
• Experience with Java, Oracle and Linux technologies.
• Understanding of agile methodologies.

Responsabilidades

• Produce well structured, maintainable, reliable and fit for purpose code at an accepted level of quality.
• Refine and break down business requirements into work items the team can implement.
• Support the technical lead, liaising with Architecture and other stakeholders on technical matters.
• Proactively identify and suggest improvements and enhancements to working practices to team and departmental level.
• Demonstrate a can-do attitude and a sense of responsibility for the wider implications of software engineering.
• Demonstrate a flexible approach necessary for the role as business requirements and their relative priorities are subject to review and change.
