Job summary

Global Payments Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join Team Kerfuffle on the VAP Global Ecommerce platform. You will help modernize our platforms while maintaining a robust monolithic core and building scalable microservices.

You will design, develop, test, and deploy high-volume payment processing software, collaborating with Product, Platform, Merchant Services and Support teams, and applying Agile practices to deliver secure, scalable enterprise solutions.

Qualifications

7+ years of Java software engineering experience.
Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or computer science or equivalent.
Strong DB design, SQL, RESTful APIs, and event-driven architectures.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and test software for scalability, reliability, and data recovery on a high-volume platform.
Collaborate with Product, Platform, Merchant Services and Support to translate requirements.
Employ Agile practices, including pair programming and TDD, to maximize quality.
Deploy features into production with zero downtime and no customer impact.
Build expertise in e-commerce payments and develop new product features.
Work in a team-focused culture with strong collaboration and communication.
