Job summary

Global Payments Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Gordian Knot team.

You will help optimize a high‑volume payments platform, designing scalable solutions and migrating toward microservices while maintaining reliability and data integrity. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to convert business needs into robust technical designs, leveraging Agile practices and ensuring production features ship with zero downtime.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
7+ years of Java software engineering experience.
Strong design, SQL and Java programming skills.
Ability to derive requirements from business goals and translate into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test software for scalability, reliability and data recovery in a high-volume platform.
Collaborate with Product, Platform, Merchant Services and Support to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Apply agile techniques such as pair programming and TDD to maximize productivity and quality.
Deploy new features into production with minimal downtime and impact to customers.
Build domain expertise in e‑commerce payments and contribute to new product features.
