Global Payments is seeking a Software Engineer II to design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices and a large payment processing platform.

You will collaborate with Product, Platform, Merchant Services and Support to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions, using Agile, TDD, and zero-downtime deployments. The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of Java experience, with microservices, REST APIs, AWS, OpenShift and Kubernetes expertise.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of Java software engineering experience.
• Strong design, SQL and Java programming skills.
• Ability to translate high-level goals into technical solutions.
• Experience with Microservices architecture and globally distributed services.
• Experience with RESTful API design and cloud technologies (Kubernetes, Kafka).
• Proficiency with SQL, relational data modeling and database schema design.
• Nice-to-have: monitoring, self-healing platforms, scalability in high-volume systems.
• Experience with AWS, OpenShift, and container tooling.
