Job summary

NinjaOne is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a new team accelerating the platform with manifest-driven development. You will shape flexible, extensible experiences—from UI to integrations—while building scalable, API-first services that empower customers and MSPs.

Hybrid remote options are available, with offices in Austin and Tampa for in-person work. The role emphasizes Java and Kotlin backend work, Python-driven workers, and collaboration across AI workflow, server, and platform

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, CE, IT, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in Java software development for product applications, with Kotlin expertise.
• 4+ years building highly scalable software systems.
• Experience leveraging AI tooling to speed up development.
• Experience scaling systems and architectural design.
• Broad knowledge of OOP design and API best practices.

Responsibilities

• Manifest-driven development to extend NinjaOne platform capabilities.
• Python development to create workers for third-party integrations.
• Java and Kotlin backend work to expose platform functions for extensibility.
• Collaborate with AI workflow, server, and platform teams.
• Participate in architecture and design reviews for scalable, API-first software.
• Troubleshoot production issues using logs, metrics, and traces.
• Other duties as needed.
