Job summary

NinjaOne is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a new team building manifest-driven capabilities for the NinjaOne platform. This role focuses on extensible UI components and deeper integrations to deliver customer value.

You will work across Java, Kotlin, Python, and AWS in a cloud-based environment, crafting scalable, API-first solutions and collaborating with multiple teams to accelerate features for MSPs and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of Java software development experience for product applications with strong Kotlin expertise.
• 4+ years of experience building highly scalable software systems.
• Experience using AI tooling to accelerate software development.
• Experience scaling systems and solving scale challenges.
• Broad knowledge of OOP design principles and data structures.
• Knowledge of API best practices and REST service development with Jersey/Spring.
• Relational database design and development experience.
• Experience with client- and server-side development for responsive messaging.
• Caching expertise; Redis experience is a plus.
• Strong focus on quality testing practices.

Responsibilities

• Manifest-driven development to extend NinjaOne platform capabilities.
• Develop Python workers to extend platform value via third-party integrations.
• Develop Java and Kotlin back-end to expose platform functions for extensibility.
• Collaborate with AI workflow, server, and platform teams to achieve the mission.
• Contribute to architecture and design reviews for scalable, API-first software.
• Troubleshoot production issues across the stack using logs, metrics, and traces.
• Perform other duties as needed.
