Job summary

NinjaOne is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Java to design and implement scalable IT Operations features in a cloud-based platform, helping millions of endpoints stay secure and efficient. You’ll lead development on high-availability services, mentor engineers, and influence architecture while delivering robust software aligned with customer needs.

The role offers hybrid remote options across the U.S. and on-site offices in Austin and Tampa.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of experience in Java software development for product applications.
• 5+ years of experience with highly scalable systems.
• Proven experience in scaling systems and solving complex design challenges.
• Strong knowledge of OOP design principles and RESTful services (Jersey/Spring).
• Relational database design and development expertise.
• Experience with caching systems, particularly Redis, is a plus.
• Knowledge of quality testing practices and delivering high-quality software.
