Job summary

The Ceres Group is seeking a senior software engineer to contribute to trading platform modules within an agile SCRUM team. You will analyze, design, develop, test, and debug enhancements using Java, C#, SQL, JavaScript, and related technologies, collaborating closely with Business Analysts and Product Managers.

You will participate in code reviews, write unit and automation tests, and contribute to API documentation.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related field; MS preferred.
• 4–7 years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in financial services.
• Experience with OO programming, compilers/interpreters, databases, scripting, and modern languages.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop, test, and debug small to medium software enhancements.
• Collaborate with BAs and PMs to translate requirements into working software.
• Participate in design of product architecture within team scope.
• Develop and test software using Java, C#, SQL, JavaScript or related languages.
• Contribute to code reviews and write unit/automation tests.
• Document designs and APIs; participate in customer documentation.
