Job summary
The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) is seeking a software engineer to design and implement scalable data solutions for critical financial market activities. You will collaborate with business analysts and developers to deliver cloud-based, high-throughput systems, featuring a Java/Cucumber BDD framework, Kafka/JMS pipelines, and containerized deployments via Docker/Kubernetes.
Responsibilities include optimizing SQL queries across Oracle, MySQL and DB2, maintaining multi-tier memory
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and five years of software engineering experience.
- Experience architecting a Java/Cucumber BDD automation framework with multi-tier memory management.
- Strong background in building scalable data pipelines with Kafka/JMS and CI/CD pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with analysts, leads and developers to build scalable data solutions.
- Architect and maintain a Java-based automation framework with Jenkins orchestration.
- Design multi-threaded Java applications with Kafka/JMS for high-throughput data pipelines.
- Build end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Docker and Kubernetes.
- Optimize data access with Hibernate caching and SQL across Oracle/MySQL/DB2.
