NinjaOne is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Java to design and implement scalable IT Operations features, driving improvements across our cloud-based platform. You will contribute to new capabilities and support existing functionality for millions of endpoints.

You will join a collaborative team global in scope, with leadership duties, architecture influence, and a focus on quality. Hybrid remote options in the USA are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of experience in Java software development for product applications.
• 5+ years of experience with highly scalable systems.
• Proven experience in scaling systems and solving complex design challenges.
• Strong knowledge of OOP design principles.
• Expertise in API design and RESTful services using Jersey or Spring.
• Proficient in relational database design and development.
• Experience with caching systems, particularly Redis, is a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of quality testing practices and ensuring high-quality software.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of large-scale software applications with a quality-first approach.
• Influence critical architectural decisions to ensure scalability and maintainability.
• Mentor junior engineers and establish technical standards across projects.
• Own technical initiatives and drive improvements based on data from support teams.
