Job summary

NinjaOne in the United States is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Java to design and implement scalable, high-availability software that powers our IT Operations platform, delivering features and quality that meet enterprise client demand.

You’ll work with a team of engineers and tech experts, influence architectural decisions, mentor junior engineers, own initiatives with data-driven insight, and ensure performance and reliability as we scale to millions of endpoints.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
10+ years of Java software development experience.
5+ years of experience with highly scalable systems.
Proven experience in scaling systems and solving complex design challenges.
Strong OOP design principles and practices.
Expertise in API design and RESTful services (Spring).
Relational database design and development experience.
Experience with caching systems.

Responsibilities

Lead the development of large-scale software applications with high quality and a quality-first mindset.
Influence critical architectural decisions to ensure scalable and maintainable systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers.
Own technical initiatives and drive improvements with data from support teams.
Focus on quality assurance and high-performance software.
Contribute to additional responsibilities as needed to support team success.
